Enjoy a traditional English Pub

Sep 20

Dating back to the 14th Century the Eagle Pub  is perhaps the most historic pubs in Cambridge, it even has its own ghost. The pub is full of history  part of the bar is dedicated to the RAF pilots of the 2nd World War, the ceiling of the bar is signed by pilots who survived the war and returned to the Eagle Pub to sign their name on the pub ceiling using lighters, candle smoke and lipstick.

Their is a brass plaque on the wall to commentate were Francis Crick in 1953 made his first public announcement to the world that he had discovered DNA, the genetic code to the secret of life.
